Mia Graham
Biography
Mia Graham is an emerging artist based in South London, her work is strongly led by self-exploration and is made without reference images, drawing inspiration from the world exterior and interior. Her work focuses on the task of translating hard-to-explain emotions and thoughts through her paintings, with an aim of encouraging the viewer to accept and explore their own human vulnerability. Born in London but raised in the small-town world of Chichester, West Sussex, the residual influence of her Christian upbringing is also very much present in her work.
Through periods of colour and gesture, e.g ‘sleeping’, ‘green’; the cycles of her own life and subconscious are realised into various series of work.
