This painting was created using oil on canvas. Compared to some of his other pieces, he has applied less paint on this canvas, giving it a slightly rougher feel. Despite the name of the painting being titled ‘Flowers’, the plants depicted seem to have no flowers budding and actually look like they have dried out. The mixture of dark green and brown tones imply that these plants are dying.
