In the series of works "notes of war" Polina interprets the war through the image of a non-human that attacked her country, it is an image of horror, murder and devastation brought by the invader to Ukraine.
'In the last work, "a non-human feeds a slave", I reflect on propaganda as a source of war, comparing breastfeeding, which protects the baby, gives him a sense of security and trust, with the action of propaganda. The latter gives an imaginary sense of security to those who believe in it and thus puts in an even more dangerous position all who fall under its influence. He poisons everything around him, turns them into blind, dumb slaves.' - Polina Shcherbyna
