Vartan Markarian is an artist who critically reflects on the phenomenon of the city: “The modern city is a unique dynamically developing phenomenon that embodies the features of a post-industrial society. The urbanized environment constantly affects us, and we, in turn, dominate it”
Vartan Markarian was born in Poltava, Ukraine in 1991. He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Vartan explores the relationship humans have with the city, his works are a dialogue with the urbanized space that we call a "city".
