Maksym Mazur
Overview
On how Maksym starts a painting : " I come to my studio and the process draws me in. Most of the time I have a certain feeling, image or harmony that I want to express. I try to be honest with myself and keep on working until I get the right level of expressiveness."
Maksym Mazur is a young Ukrainian artist living and working in Kyiv, Ukraine. He has had numerous exhibitions in respected Ukrainian galleries and is also a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Maksym works in an overtly painterly manner, often using muted colours and experimenting with textures. Despite usually employing a rather abstract subject matter, he manages to deliver his ideas to the viewer through his art.
